Hi, I’m Zanna and welcome to my corner of the internet.
So who the devil am I? In short, I’m the co-founder of Stay Wild, a Forbes 30 under 30 entrepreneur and a lifestyle blogger with a passion for active travel and the outdoors; but let’s wind it back to the beginning!
I studied Speech Science (BMedSci) at the University of Sheffield for four years whilst also pursuing fitness as a hobby alongside my degree. Throughout the course my passion for wellness grew. I built up and launched my blog and discussed topics related to fitness, food and travel. In 2014 I graduated with a first class degree and had built a pretty solid base from which to launch a career in fitness. I took the risk, packed my bags, moved to London, qualified as a personal trainer and threw myself into working full time with one-on-one clients.
My brand grew as I gained experience in the fitness industry and spread my message across social media. This lead to writing my first book, Strong. Released in 2016, it focused on educating women about lifting weights and empowering them through fitness. I caught media attention, securing covers on Sunday Times Style magazine, Women’s Fitness magazine and Healthy magazine; as well as spreads in Women’s Health and Glamour. I started working with brands I respected. I became the UK’s first female global ambassador for adidas and my blog was ranked as one of the top 10 fitness blogs in the UK, and has continued to be every year to this day. In 2018 I began co-hosting the BBC Podcast “Fit & Fearless” which aims to provide evidence-based information related to health, fitness and wellbeing. We recorded six successful series in total.
Since then my passions have diversified and so has my content. Travel, hiking, finances, productivity, plant based eating and active living are all topics I touch upon across social media. I am proud to have worked with tourism boards across the globe from Visit California and Discover Greece through to Pure New Zealand and Tourism Australia. I aim to use my platform responsibly, whether that’s by leading beach cleans across the globe, hosting a mini recycling series with BBC Earth Unplugged or creating the Living Consciously Crew Facebook group, a 13,000+ strong community. As a result, I have spoken at the United Nations about using social media for positive change and I have been placed as a finalist for the Cosmopolitan Influencer of the Year award two years in a row for ‘using my influence for good’.
And last but certainly not least, by far my proudest achievement is my swimwear business. Stay Wild is a sustainable, ethical and beautiful swimwear and essentials brand crafting clothing from conscious materials and made locally in London. Stay Wild has exhibited at London Fashion Week, been featured in Vogue and was highlighted by Instagram as a brand using social media innovatively. Most recently Stay Wild became a certified B Crop, and my co-founder Natalie and I were highlighted in the Forbes 30 under 30 list for the brand’s growth and innovation.
Whether it’s choosing to eat more plants, move your body or get out in nature – my ultimate goal is that through my content you can gain inspiration, motivation and knowledge which enables you to make positive changes to your daily life.
